Tom and our friend Mike began working on tiling the downstairs bathroom today :) It started off a little chaotic while trying to figure out how to lay out the tile(among other things). They got about half of the bathroom done and Tom and I plan on finishing it tomorrow :). Tiling isn't necessarily hard...its just time consuming and requires lots of patience.
We also ordered a new dishwasher today. We hadn't planned on buying a new one (like many other things we hadn't planned on doing), but we knew we would need to buy one within the next few years, so we decided to go ahead and jump on a good deal we found at Sears. We were really afraid that the old one would overflow (again) and ruin our new hardwood down the road...so we thought it would be better to be safe than sorry. We've also decided on a refrigerator- our friends Amanda and Ryan are buying a new house and don't need they're old refrigerator...so we're buying it from them :) I've posted pics of both the refrigerator and dishwasher below.
Well, I think that's about it for today. We hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July!!!
This is the dishwasher we're getting (except ours will be black). All of the controls are hidden...kinda cool I suppose.
