I've been trying to get the basement bathroom ready for paint. This has not been an easy task. The walls not only had wallpaper on them, but the previous owners had painted over the wallpaper making it super hard to take down. We ended up tearing off several pieces of the drywall in the process :( Additionally, it appears that a small dog tore into the bottom of each wall and the previous owners didn't do a good job of repairing the walls. We were going to cut out all of the lower parts of the drywall and replace them, but now we're thinking of maybe putting up beadboard on the lower half of the wall...we'll see.
